no you dont need a memory card for any games or downloadable content, however the wii does have a small amount of space availible for it’s save data, save data doesnt take up much memory, but downloading software does, if you want to play from an SD card then you have to copy the data to the wii then play it then copy it to the SD card, in some cases this means swaping data alot and can cause file confusion so be careful

No and no, I thought you had to buy a memory card at first then I figured that there is ALOT of room on the Wii (unless you have like all the Wii games there are and want to save something on every one of them).

The memory that is on the wii is sufficient to store most games and channels its only when you have a lot that you might want to consider an sd card.

Um…..all Wii games save on the Wii. The memory card is for Gamecube games.
